Hello alfaowner.com,
Thought I'd best start off on the right foot and introduce myself. I'm Adrian and have owned two alfas for the last ten years.
(Is this what people feel like when they attend their first Alcoholic's Anonymous session)
My first exposure was a friend's 33 Permanent 4 which sounded and handled amazingly. I was smitten pretty quickly and soon bought an S Reg 2.0 GTv. I was hooked.....
I've now been running my second GTv (a 2002 3.0 6 speed) for the last 5 years. It's quite a nice looking beast (black with a red interior) and regularly gets referred to at the 'pimp mobile' by my [jealous] friends. I've recently been toying with the idea of trading up for a newer model. This started with a Brera, moved to the Spider and up until recently moved to a 159ti; I won't lie, the lack of boot space in the GTv is beginning to grind on me now. But then sat behind the wheel after yet another set of front tyres (!) and a re-alignment I decided that at 41,000 miles I should probably keep it a while longer. I mean, it handles well and sounds and performs well too...
So *now( I'm toying with the idea of maybe a new exhaust system for it (I'm sure I'm opening up old debates here, but why did it never come with a twin?) followed by a remap or something. In truth though, I don't really want to start throwing loads of money at the car when, in all honest, I probably don't need to. Maybe I should just be happy with what I have got...
