hello there alfa nation,
just introducing myself today, although I have been driving an alfa for 8 years now and enjoying every moment of it, a 94 155 1.8 for 4 years and a 99 156 2.0 for 4 more. I have found the forum invaluable during the last few years, thanks to everybody for their contributions.
I moved back to my native county of Kerry last year from Dublin, although I don't miss the traffic I do miss Gerry/TI Autos. It was great to have a reliable and trustworthy mechanic to sort out the alfa for me. I used grandons last year to do a bit of work and in truth feel a bit ripped off by them. feel they were more interested in changing tyres (the same tyres that passed the NCT) and light bulbs than anything else.
anyway timing belt no.3 is well overdue, have looked at the other threads and am considering souring the parts from alfaworkshop and doing it myself
, can anyone recommend a good shop in Kerry to save me getting my hands dirty???
On a lighter note and something i've wanted to get off my chest for a yonks now, while I find the 156 more powerful and grippy and abs is a heaven send, I have to say the 155 was way more fun to drive, what do other drivers who made the transition think??
