Hi I'm Mr B,
I have a GTV V6. Owned it now for 2 and a bit years. Love it to bits (barr the niggles: Squeaky Windows/build etc.), but of course you forgive all ills once out driving.
To anyone reading this considering buying a GTV...Don't beleive any bad press. It's nonsense. My car has been utterly reliable and cracking good fun. Just be sensible when you buy.
Yes, parts can be pricey. Yes, fuel is expensive. But my God, you only live once! Have yourself a baby Ferrari for peanuts outlay. Guaranteed, it WILL get under your skin and you will very much understand why you cannot be called a 'petrol-head' until you have owned an Alfa.
