Hi, another newbie here
Hi my names Chris, formely of UK, Spain and now Austria...........Been into hot rodding for the last 15 years, now taking a step in a different direction and just ordered a MW 550 spyder, obvioulsy going to be AR powered,, thats why im here!!!
First off looking for help on ID´íng what im looking for as a donor engine and box, i just want a simple 1.7 carb engine and 5 speed box, but model numbers have already got me confused. Cars in Austria are wickedly expensive so will be buying donar car from Germany, p.s. iff I can help anyone with parts from this side of the water, more than willing to help- Cheers

Chris - you may also want to post on Redirecting you to the new Spyderclub Portal... and SpyderOwners - 550 spyder replica / kit-car enthusiasts club. - everyone there is into the spyders and a few may have experience with the Alfa engines, though most are either VW type 1, type 4 aircooled, or VW/Audi and Subaru watercooled installs.
