Better late than never
Well i suppose i should have joined 7 years ago when i first collected my 156 ( gleaming africa grey with the obligatory big spoiler, I was so proud) then 3 years later collected my new GT, a glutten for punishment !!!!.
Still better late than never now im considering a 159, has the build quality really improved ??? you tell me

Re: Better late than never
Hello & welcome,
I went from a 156 to a GT as well, just got a Brera, & the build quality so far is excellent, no squeeks or creaks

Re: Better late than never
I must admit the 156 was not too bad but the Gt has been a real dissapointment, when its polished and working its the best car in the world but unfortunately it goes from hero to zero too quickly. I got one of the first ones on the week of launch and think the teething troubles had'nt been ironed out. still the suns shining she's nice and clean and at the moment there's no place better to be. thanks for the reply, would love to go to the Brera too but the family's growing and i need 2 back seats,

Brera's no good then
My GT's is great though, but it's a 2006 model, so yes I would have a look at the 159 (especially the Ti)

Yep, i like the look of the Ti just need to persuade my boss to let me get another Alfa, He's the one who has to get up early to pick me up from the dealers when things go pear shaped

Hello and welcome to AO
The build quality on my spider is pretty good so I dont see why a 159 should be any worse.

Re: Better late than never
Tony, your 156 looks well in the blue, i loved my 156. how are your multispokes standing the test of time ? i have the same wheels on my GT there looking worse for wear after 4 years, flaking not kerb damage. was wondering about having them refurbished and considering Anthracite rather than silver but dont know how they would look on a black GT,bit boy racer !!! i'm open to opinions

Re: Better late than never
Cheers for the comments about the 156 AA.
A lot of people say how much my 156 stands out. I love her to death, it's such a rare colour and with the big a*s spoiler on the back, sets it off a treat.
As for the alloys, they have been better I imagine. I have only had her 7 months, but, when I bought her the alloys were a bit curbed and flaking, now they are flaking a lot.
I am hoping to get them re-done soon. Just got to have some work done on the body-work and have the brakes up rated, so, they are 3rd in the queue.
