excited 147 newbie!
hi everyone!
thought id introduce myself as a new member and this is my first post!
just bought my first alfa romeo last week, a 147 1.6 ts lusso, 02 reg in red. love it so far, its a gorgeous car. had the choice of this or a volkswagen golf but thought id go for something a bit different so the alfa it was.
being half italian myself helped me decide, so i just had to get one!
im a relative early starter to the alfa romeo world at only 22, but judging on owning the car for just over a week now it definately wont be my last alfa! i dont think there has been a day since i got it that i havent cleaned it, i even bought an alfa keyring from ebay as soon as i got it home!
i have a few questions,
at the end of july, the girlfriend and i are setting off on a 4 month trip around europe and mostly italy, taking the car of course. is there anything i need to do or be aware of before setting off? would you guys recommend replacing the cambelt as it has done 22,000 miles (1 and a half years) and id estimate we will be doing around 15,000 miles travelling
also anyone know of any good garages that specialise in alfa in the north west of the uk, near preston?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
