Newbie with a restoration project

Hi,

Unless something goes wrong, I'm the proud owner of a 2000 model 2.0 156.

I've been looking for a restoration project for a while, and this seems to be a nice starter. I found it on a salvage site - it's had a bit of a knock at the front, but I'm hoping it'll be easily fixed.

So, I might be scrounging for parts/advice soon . Alternatively, if the damage is worse that it looks, I might have parts to offer

Cheers,

Iain

Re: Newbie with a restoration project

Thanks everyone!

To post in the items for sale/wanted forums do I need to be a paid-up member, or is it restricted on membership age/post count/other?

Cheers,

Iain

Hi and welcome to AlfaOwner.com enjoy your stay

So what we talking about here, front bumper and bonnet or did the wings take some impact as well.

Whats the rest of the car like?

Re: Newbie with a restoration project

Hi,

Not got the car yet (unknown to me there was a reserve on the auction, so there's still a bit of haggling to be done!).

From the pics, it looks like bonnet, bumper, possibly a headlight and whatever might be damaged behind. eg radiator/mounts, possibly aircon rad. The wings look like they've escaped any damage

All the pics I have are here: imclaren - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Cheers,

Iain
