Hello to all members. Just introducing myself to the forum which hopefully will provide years of Alfa problem solving, such as "Lambda Sensors", "MAF fault code" and spurious flashing external bulb warning light!
I own a 156 T Spark 1.8 Veloce on an X plate, which would be an absolute dream to drive if only I could cure the previously mentioned faults. Have already used the forum as a guest to try and find remedies for the snags, most seem to work for a while, then like the preverbial boomerang, back they come. Anyway, enough rambling, time to do some serious searching.

hi and welcome,if the bulbs are ok then you will find its the diode in the rev counter , check to see if one of the rear brake or side light are light very slightly if so it will need a new rev, counter which is a easy fix . mine cost £40

Thanks for the advice. Thought i'd cured it the other day when i found two "cheep-skate" side light bulbs. Alas, success was short lived! Yesterday the gremlins returned,  flickering the bulb failure light on once again. Will now do as suggested and check for faintly glowing rear cluster bulb with ign. off. Will let you know the outcome.
