i wanna an alfa

irish lad on the verge of buy a 156 fell in love with them after a upclose and personal inspection with an alfa grill < was almost knocked down by a 166, lovely beasty> currently driving a ford escort which is bullet proof but sadly begging to fray at the edges nearly 120 on the clock and no major problem in the last 7 years except for a golden retriever but thats a different story remember folks keep them doggies on lease's, wont be buying anything for the next month and im currently looking through ads for nice examples to test drive. wish me luck... hopefully il find the one that never needs it timing belt changed

unfortunately they all need the timing belt changing, if its a worry to you the v6 dosent need it changing as often, every 36k for a t spark and every 72k for a v6, all will be infineately better than any ford :0

thanks all for the welcome, as regards the choice between a ts or v6 it depends on which fall into my budget which unfortunately isn't as big as my aspiration's < haven't used that word in a long time>thank all the respective gods for alfa deprecation. im thinking of a 156 ts with less than 60 k, a 166 with less than 80 k or if i can manage to do a hell of a lot of over time maybe even a gtv that runs and has 4 wheels as standard...il settle with a 01/02 156 1.6 ts with leather if i can find one. have a good one......

oh ya if i cant find one with leather i know a scrap yard where a 156 1.8 is housed with cream leatherno idea how much though was there with a buddy looking for a dsd for a passat 1.8 t if any one has a rough idea what leather front and back costs let me know cheers
