Hello from by-passer?

To begin with, Iím driving äkoda Superb, and its diesel. You know: TDI, tractor. Donít laugh, thatís not polite. I bought it because it sounded very sound at the time: low fuel consumption, spacious, cheap. But its boring, and I do feel just a little bit ashamed when people on the street are turning around looking for some agricultural machinery approaching them. And I was just an inch of buying Alfa at the time. Already twice I was strolling around Alfa Romeo dealers and finally bought something else, because I was afraid of a car that will ďfall apartĒ. I have this phobia after an Opel Vectra experience and Alfa has (had) such a bad reputation. Now that my family is growing in size again I am thinking of a station wagon and once again I am thinking of Alfa (159 SW). I started to look around for information on net and that is how I found this site. I have to congratulate you, itís very nice.
Alfa is the only car I ever felt anything about. Others are just machines moving me from place A to place B. It was when I was about 15, I was living in a former Yugoslavia and cars there and than were boring: Zastava, Lada, some Skoda and lots of Wartburg, VW Golf and old Mercedes cars bought by ďgastarbeitersĒ in Germany. Ah, and of course BMW (mostly old) for big shots (do you know they had to pay triple (all the customs, taxes etc. including) considering the actual German price of the car) - and than I saw on a parking in Split a red Alfa Romeo and I was stunned. I fell in love with the badge. I walked around her for five minutes or so. And the feeling stayed somewhere deep inside me. So I do hope that next time I wonít go for Audi & co., again.

Split, near Korcula, Miljet, Dubrovnic area? Nice part of the world to have an Alfa in, if I have your location correct?:
