Hullo there!

I have just taken the leap and bought a 2001 156 1.6 Veloce in Alfa red. I have always liked Alfas, but have been driving dull german tanks (Audi 80, BMW 520) and laughable british rubbish (Rover 420) for a while. When my last car died on its arse, i decided to look for something a little more, actually a lot more fun, sexy, stylish etc etc...

And so my relationship with the alfa begins....

Re: Hullo there!

Hi and welcome to enjoy your stay

One of the best colours for the 156. I've only had my 1.8TSpar for under a week and stepping up from a tuned Saxo VTS, Im well happy with the car. The more you drive it the more your love it.

Decent Alfa rims either 16' teledials or other Alfa rims will greatly improve the look of the 156 if its on smaller factory alloys or steel rims

Re: Hullo there!

Just taken it for its first legstretch 200 miles down to Eastbourne and back, down the A22.

Hilarious! 'A' roads were made for Alfas! Got to throw it around a little and it still averaged over 30mpg. If i drove my BMW enthusiastically it returned about 20mpg, and still felt like driving a bus through custard...
