I'm not sure why you haven't received an answer to your question yet
but let me take a stab at it.
Since I'm not local, the best I can do is point you in a few different directions:
- first a local(ish) club
(yes I know they're on the Island, but I'm sure somebody there knows the mainland specialists well enough to advise you). It looks like there was/is an Alfa Romeo Owners Club of B.C. but the webpage has vanished.
- second the Alfa Romeo Club of Canada
has a B.C.-based representative, so you might try calling him and getting some recommendations.
-- third, the competition
There's an American forum called AlfaBB which has a greater percentage of Canadian members. I don't know who's there from Vancouver, but I'd bet there'd be somebody.
I should mention that I'm not a big club person, and I'm not recommending that you join up, unless the people and atmosphere appeal to you. I just think it is helpful to get to know the resources and people in your local area.
So welcome aboard.
