Alfa Romeo 159

159 - taking the plunge!

Well, after 8 years of driving 3 Series, which I have to admit haven't missed a beat, I've decided I don't want to be a sheep anymore. Time to be different so I pick up my 1 year old 159 (just the 1.9 diesel) on Monday from Variava in Nottingham. Still can't believe I've gone for something slower, less MPG, with greater depreciation, but the 159 is the best looking car out there (GT and Brera don't count as I can't fit kids in the back!) and comes with a top spec.

Many thanks to all who have posted on this forum, it's been a great help in researching and getting some honest views. I'm gettting some stick at work from the BMW/Audi crowd over Alfa Romeo reliability and I'm waking up in a panic, stood by the M5 with the bonnet up! So, if there are stories out there of all the easy, trouble free motoring people have had with the 159 then it would be great to hear and would balance out perceived negatives.

Thanks for letting me join the forum, it's a great site.
