Hello from Kansas
My name is Richard, and I re-entered the wonderful world of Alfa ownership November 2007. I rather impulsively saw and bought a '72 Berlina. It's old, boxy and is the coolest car ever. My first car was a 1974 Alfa Spider. Very cool, but not a good idea for a high schooler. I loved it, I drove it, and then I had an accident. I lived, the car did not.
But now I am older, hopefully wiser, and have a family. My wife is very understanding and has allowed me to indulge my interests in all things Italian-- 1963 Vespa 50, 1974 Vespa 125 Primavera, 1980 Vespa 50 Special, and now a 1972 Alfa Berlina. It is complete, yellow on black - chassis#AR3000180. The interior is fairly decent, but the exterior is quite rusty. After pealing off the horrible fiberglass patches, the Krylon spray paint job (not kidding), I am focusing on the body. Once I get this in shape, I will focus more on the brakes and other systems. But for the most part, the engine, transmission work fine.
Looking forward to learning from all of you.
