Lick New 147GTA Monza owner - Sydney Aust

Hi everyone,

Newby girl from Sydney Australia - I have just bought my first Alfa, I pick it up tomorrow and can i just say "WOW"

I didn't understand how a little hatchback could cause so much fuss. (Or warrant such a price tag). Bu tas soon as I hopped in, I needed no convincing. Then I drove it! Now I own it

I am finally begining to understand mans passion for his car... I have been waking up in the morning and it's the first thing on my mind. I just cant wait to give it a good fang, take precious care of every inch and tell everyone about it.

I am dying to get it home. I also have this thing about giving all my cars names so I cant wait to get a grasp of his personality. Yeah, I reckon it's a boy... no girl could give me that much pleasure

Anyhew, as I'm a newby, I have no idea what you guys all talk about but I'm ready and willing to learn a hell of a lot more about my car and Alfa's in general.

Hey fellow Aussie! Nice to see another GTA owner on the best Continent in the world. I'f you're looking for a drive, take a trip to Canberra this sunday for the Auto Italia at Old Parliment House. Lots of Bella's to see and i'm sure yours will be admired as well.
Where did you pick him up?

How really kind of you to tell me about the Auto Italia in Canberra.
I will seriously consider going, knowing my luck I'll cop a ticket on the freeway in this beauty
I'm sure it will be worth the drive.
Picking my car up tomorrow from a wholesale dealer in Leichhardt, it's clear the guys in there love their alfa's too. They sell a lot of them and I'd recommend them to anyone, it has been a very plesant experience so far.

I'm thinking of going but i have a wedding in the Blue Mountains on Saturday.
Thats what cruise control is for but i know exactly what you mean. i've had my 156 GTA for just over 2 months and i'm surprised i still have all my points left.
What did you have before your GTA?

We still have a black 2005 renault clio sport. His name is Patrick (as in clio-patrick, male play on cleopatra). What a fun car to drive, I love patrick! He's cute and gutsy.
We also had a family car - Black nissan xtrail, this is what's been replaced.
Her name was Betty (Black Betty).

I figure if it ain't broke... but I guess that's why I'm on this site, to understand my car better and get the most out of it. Even if that means doing "stuff" to it

As for Patrick, no idea about the exhaust, i don't often drive behind him and I sure as heck don't wash him (that's my man's job).

lol thats fair. you get it dirty, he cleans it
Well congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you'll grow to love it even more as you continue to drive him. If you have any questions drop us a line and i might see a silver 147 GTA and Auto Italia 2008 .

Ciao!
