Hi from Manly, Sydney, Oz
G'day, everyone
About lunchtime today, I became a first-time Alfa owner. Drove out of the dealer's showroom in a brand new 159 JTD 2.4 manual sedan into a bright sunny Sydney afternoon. It is totally brilliant. Hours later, I still have a smile something like this --> 
A decade or so has passed since I last dealt with a manual transmission but I'm enjoying the re-acqauintance which was, of course, the intention. Stalled it once when I think I got 3rd instead of low at a stop but, all things considered, I probably didn't do too badly. I felt like a kid again although, unfortunately, I still don't look like one.
I'll probably join the local AR Owners' Club but in the meantime found this site on the web and thought it looked friendly and informative and decided to give it a go.

Onya mate! Just part of the Melb/Syd ritual, of course.
I could easily contemplate a drive down the Hume to see a couple of friends and figure out a few parts of the instrumentation in the process but that will have to wait. Ciao!! |
