Bonjour et monge tout. Not a clue what that means but everyone else stole may line.
The key issue is one of the biggest you could have. I guess you have the red bliper key, which will operate the alarm and start the car, which really is enough.
The Burgundy key they refer to is the master key and should the cars code unit lose the code it is this key which is required to re-enter it to the system. You can get round it though, either by using the Keycode which is taped in via the brake or accelerator pedal, OR, by replacing the code box and geting new chips for the key you have and the one which it is advisable to get cut.
The other thing is that you could contact the previous owner and see if they still have the key in thier possesion. Till then I think I would hold off with the final payment as that amount is the cost of the new code box. Explain to the garage that you really must have this key.
