Hello

New 166 owner since last week. Not new to Italian cars though !
My first Alfa was a Sprint Quadrifoglio followed by a a 1984 GTV 2.0,
then mooved to Lancias..A 1986 Thema 2.0 8V,a 1990 Thema 2.0 16V,
a 1992 Thema 2.0 16V turbo and finally a 1990 Thema 8.32.
All these cars were owned in the UK where I used to live.Back in the old country [ Lebanon, yes the one where all the trouble is..but completely overrated..life is fun down here], I had to have another Italian fun car..After much research, I landed a 2000 model 166 3.0
sportronic with only 39.000kms on the clock and a new cam belt and accessories under the hood..The car is dark blue with the Alfa body kit and the opt 17" alloys with 235/45 tyres..Beige Momo interior and everything works except the A/C.. Hopefully it's only in need of the R134 substance..Compressor works..So there it is and hoping to share in this forum about the 166..
PS: My other car is a GMC Yukon Denali..completely different beast with a 6.0 V8 and the pull of a truck..It's another story..

Re: Hello

Wow,thanks guys and girls of course..This is by far the best forum I've ever been on.And I have been on many! This shows that drivers of Italian cars are a social bunch and really take it at heart with their hobby..Because it is a hobby after all! No one drives Italian for practicality reasons, but definitely for fun and for the sake of actual driving pleasure..So , thanks again with all my heart..
Regarding Lebanon, It is a beautifull country with 330 days of sunshine a year, and many brits live and work down here cause of the location and the social life..It never stops..I will try to post pics of my 166 with some Lebanese background shots , just to give you an idea.
I used to live in the UK,[ Surrey area for 20 years ] but the weather got me in the end, so decided to come back..Please feel free to mail and ask as many questions as you want..We have fantastic Alfa specialists here who do not hide info
