Just bought a 156 JTS

Hi all,

Have bought my first Alfa, a 156 JTS lusso and it is brilliant. I decided to hit the running costs head on and shelled out for a 24k service, a cam belt change, a bit early considering it's at 22k miles bit 3 years had passed so hey, and a diagnostic to clear the 'hello new owner' MCS erroneous failure message (Lambda sensor).

I never knew a car could look so good when viewed from a petrol station queue

Changing that belt was the best thing you could ever do

Providing the tensioners were changed too.

I loved my 156 JTS Veloce and still miss it Some pictures please

Thanks everyone, I'm pleased it's going to pay off. The tensioners were changed, everything except the balance bar which is due at 72k I believe. Photos shall be up soon Squadrone Rosso, I can tell you it's Grigo Stromboli though

Good colour - my JTS is Pewter Grey. Lovely colour... when washed Actually I find grey hides dirt well - better than most other colours. Apart from cambelt, watch out for bushes and front arms wearing out and high oil usage.
