New boy.
Hi everybody.
My first Alfa was a sud Ti in 1983 after passing my test.This was followed by a sprint veloce, a Giulia sprint gt, another sud, a 33,an alfetta gold cloverleaf,a75 1.8 and twinspark and a Giulietta. The one Alfa I really wanted was the Alfetta Gtv.A largish family,(4 kids), meant that the Alfas` had to go to be replaced by a Fiat Multipla. Then one day last February I was on my way back from work when I saw it. A capidemonte Bianco Gtv, 1979 model.I resisted and drove straight past knowing eventually that the Alfa sirens would have me crashing to the rocks.The next day I had to stop. Air con model, low miles, Fsh and it had spent a large part of its life in Hong Kong. It looked too good to be true. "Must look at it carefully, don`t get caught up in the moment" I kept telling myself.
Only a small amount of welding had been done,nearside innerwing top, sure there had been filling and painting done in a few isolated areas but overall it was fine. Also it was a well know alfa specialist so that gave me extra piece of mind. That was it. Offer made, offer accepted, and I became the owner of a car that I first lusted after when I was 12. Worth the wait!
