Hi I'm Craig and I own an Alfa GTV 2litre 16v.

Does anyone have any idea why recently sonetimes when I start it up in the mornings a cloud of blue smoke escapes from the exhaust. It seems to be ok once driving though...

Hello and welcome....

Blue smoke - oil
Black smoke - unburnt fuel
White Smoke - water (prey)

As long as it goes away a brief burning of oil can be ok as the engine warms up and things get a bit tighter...
