AR 33 1.7 16V

AR 33 driver

Hi.

My name is David and i come from Slovenia. I work in IT (doing somre programming and sysadmin work). But, must important, in my spare time I do some work on cars (mechanical and electronics).

Here is my alfa story:

When i got my driving license i was in search of a car, so i bought this (1.7 16V):

But unfortunately chasis wasnt in really good shape:

So i bought a new chasis and planned to move engine, brakes, ... to it. But once again disaster striked as I posponed oil change:

So I bought this:

And work began:

The car is not yet finished, but will be someday:

Engine bay in "as it should be" condition:

Brakes from Opel Calibra (I must admit that 33 brakes are no good):

Proper brake pads and brake fluid:

Re: AR 33 driver

As I don't like Bosch Motronic (when something didn't work it was in 90% cases bosch fault) and wanted to play with ECUs i assembled MegaSquirt ECU:

Working area:

Custom made wireing (which will now be fitted on Alan33+q4 car - i made adapter for motronic wireing for myself):

Testing on car:

ECU is running Hi res code (inj pulse width to 0.001 ms) and controling fuel and spark. It supports several fueling algorythm (i am using Hybrid AlphaN) and some nice features (as traction control, launch control, shift lights, rev limiter, ...).

Latest fuel map (right section is not yet tuned):
