Should have bought one of these years ago! Purchased a red 147 Sport Q2 and what a rocket ship. Great low mileage 45,000miles 2007 car which is such a drivers car. It's early days but may be a an 147 convert.
Must buy some smart car mats for it, any top tips from the Forum.

Ah, hello - a man of good taste and judgement:) I love mine too, best car I've had since a Mk1 Golf Gti 1986-91 (and better built)

However there is an Achilles heel. Do not delay getting the swirl flaps deleted from the inlet manifold (and preferably the EGR blanked and mapped out as well). Not doing so will pretty much guarantee head, valve and piston and possible turbo damage. This CF4 engine has the plastic manifold/metal flap type.

Autolusso - Swirl Flap Delete

DIY flap removal is fiddly but possible if you have the tools and some experience. It's a lot less work than repairing the engine after a flap fails. Once done, especially with the EGR deleted, the engine is bulletproof provided you change the cam-belt, idler, tensioner and waterpump every 3 years/30k mls. It's the waterpump that fails before anything else. If the cambelt status is unknown, deleting the swirl flaps at the same time as fitting a new belt etc will save cash.

Welcome to AO. Enjoy it, they are fun cars!

Wish my scuffed wheels looked as nice as yours though. Refurb this winter if I can afford it.
Yep. Those spokes jut out a little more than the tyre, they look excellent but they're properly vulnerable.

Alfa has 4 letters, the word you're trying to use has 5 as indicated by the amount of hashes.

One suspects you are using that all too common mispelling of Alfa, the one with a PH.

This is usually punishable by a quick bad mouthing and optional slap around the face to members of the general public, but for someone who actually owns an Alfa, and posts on an enthusiast board no less, the offense is unforgivable! :curse:

You see I've been punished for crime of spelling poorly. The Alfa's clutch always seemed quite stiff. The biting point was very low off the floor and in the last few days tricky selecting 1st and 2nd. When to see Edward Labinjoh an Alfa specialist and he said the clutch was going...! Quick call to the garage where I bought it and as it has a years warranty new clutch going on next week. Phew! Funny though have no misgivings about buying the car as it as so much personality you can forgive the issues. I was an MG man for decades so I know about how cars can get under your skin and you tolerate the foibles.
