Hi every one, I`m starting the build on a 75 twin spark for a seasons hill climbing (up to 2000cc road going). Season starts in April so plenty of time.:scratchchin:

With the rear transaxle and LSD it should get off the line OK. What do you plan to do to the engine or gear ratios? 150bhp might be enough for the road but there are smaller engined hill-climbers pushing out less than that.

I loved my 75 especially in the snow when all FWD cars were failing on the smallest inclines!!

Sorry for the delay in replying this has just pinged up on my in box.
I`m in two minds what to do engine wise; I dynoed a chaps Mk1 Escort
a few weeks back and that made just shy of 280 BHP and this is in the same class as the 75 will be. After testing a few configurations of port design and valve shape on the flow bench the best i could get without going silly rpm would be approx 220 bhp by about 8000- 8500 rpm.
As far as i know the only people that do a dog gear kit for this with a wide range of ratios is Collotti.?
The rules say the original gearbox has to be used but internals are free and the engine must be the type originally fitted. Or something like that. It depends on how you read it.:vs_closedeyes: :vs_lol:
