Fancy trading my GTV in for a new GT

Hi there,

My first post on here, however I have been an Alfa owner on several occasions for a number of years. Currently I have a '97 GTV TS, which I use only occasionally, she is beautiful, pampered and is currently sat under a dust sheet in my garage. Lately I have been considering getting a new Alfa to replace her and to use as a daily driver. I have been considering the 2.0 JTS GT Lusso, however the only demonstrator I have been able to drive is the JTD. My impressions were nice engine loads of low down torque but not my cup of tea. Still a bit noisy. Has anyone else driven the old TS engine vs the new JTS?
The dealer told me that that they are not the same and sound different, which has completely thrown me now!
I am starting to feel like its just not meant to be!
On top of that due to an alfa production shutdown a new 2.0 JTS is out of the question before June at the earliest, anyone know of a late low mileage ex demo or similar car for sale? preferably in Alfa Red?

Cheers

Charlie

Re: Fancy trading my GTV in for a new GT

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, well l due partly to the fact that new GT's are in short supply, and in the spec I want non existent till summer, and getting rid of my GTV was really making feel bad I have decided to keep the GTV and not get a GT at the moment.

So for a daily driver I have bought a '99 145 1.8 TS complete with knackered exhaust valve. Apart from that its in lovely condition, so I will be fixing that over the next week or two.

look out for some halfwit questions I am sure!

Re: Fancy trading my GTV in for a new GT

I bet you are loving that. I was going to order a JTS Lusso in Alfa Red with natural leather, but all the cars either available at dealers or in transit are Blackline Diesels. Not a fan of Black, and really don't want a diesel Alfa. So I have decided to put it on the back burner for now and enjoy the two I have.
