greetings from scooby_si
Just popping by as i'm off to take a look round a 156 2.4JTD tomorro in my quest for cheaper motoring without loosing any performance.

Bit of a jap fan in the past having, as per name, had impreza, hilux, RX7 & currently old barge lexus LS400

Looks too cheap so i'm presuming there will be some bills around the corner so get ready for me askign lots of silly questions.

First one being are there any buying guides or obvious stuff i should be looking for?

Service histiory is allegedly patchy at best although he does have paperwork for the cambelt being done at 85k & it's only on 94k now....

Cheers folks i have just bought her & driven 400 miles back from Scotland but even if there maybe a few issues to resolve & bugger all service history.......then getting a 156 2.4 JTD veloce with 95k on clock for £1600 cant be too bad Escpecially when i've only got thru 2/3rds fo a tank doing said journey & that's including a nice burn over snakes pass in the dark lol Good to have a decent handling car again
