New Alfa owner in NZ
Hi folks, just signed up here the other day to find out all I could on the 156 I have recently bought. First Alfa after admiring them for quite some time. Picked up a 156 Sportswagon, V6 ti. Mechanically pretty decent as $8k had just been spent on a new engine & various other bits and pieces. (that may sound a lot, but New Zealand is sadly a very expensive place to live - but worth it!)
She is a little bit ragged though hence finding myself on this forum researching. I have a few items on their way from Europe already, mostly cosmetic. Gas boot struts (tired of being whacked in the back/head due to the failing ones on now), new floor mats, some buttons for the steering wheel controls, new gear knob, gear boot cover & handbrake boot cover, and a new stereo and wiring loom to replace the crappy aftermarket blaupunkt that sucks. I am happy to spend a bit of time and money restoring glory, unlike my old Toyota which I cared little about as long as it went, I really want to clean up all the niggles on this.
So potentially I will be asking a few questions, front door window seals, inside door handles, and a few other items will need looking at too. Enjoy the driving of this vehicle, just want to get her close to perfection!
