GTV Cup 131

Welcome!

Get over to the 916 board and say hello there too- lots of friendly members.

I also have a Cup, having bought it some 4 or 5 months ago. Lovely car to drive and own.

If you are in Southern England you might be interested in coming to our breakfast meet next Saturday morning (3rd Sept) as there will be three other Cups coming.

It is at the Departure Lounge Cafe in Alton, North Hampshire. Lots of cars coming and a good breakfast. Well be meeting there at 09:30.

Where abouts are you based?

Ross

GTV Cup 131

Excellent stuff to see another Cup getting the love they deserve. I was lucky enough that the previous owner, Alfa Andy, had done some serious work on mine, so I have only done some smallish things since I bought No.131. Brakes are on my future list too, as is a full respray, when funds permit...

Cambridge is a fair way from us, but of course if you ever fancy a trip to one of our meets you would be very welcome. Keep an eye on the 916 GTV and Spider board. I think the South East group have a reasonably active number of V6 GTV owners, so they might be closer to you.

If you have any issues then people on here are very helpful to their fellow Alfisti. James is closer to you than I am, so is probably better placed to advise on workshops you might use from Cambridge.

Ok - Cambridge to Hampshire for breakfast is a bit of a trek! I lay my Cup up at my parents' place in Peterborough over the winter months and I take it up there every now and then, so not far from you.
You're laughing re: Alfa specialists there. You've got Alfa Workshop and Autolusso close. If you want your callipers repainted then Autolusso will do it (did mine) if they need refurbishing i.e mechanically as well then I'm not sure. Autolusso did 90% of the restoration on mine, see thread. Happy to give you any advice.
