Thumbs Up Thanks Already!!
Came across this forum while looking for a soloution to my 147 selespeed gear problem. Viewed the many posts on selespeed oil and realised this problem may not be as expensive as first thought.
The car was jumping back into neutral at junctions and wouldnt go back into gear. Sometimes it would not change down either and would have to pull away in 3rd/4th gear!!
Checked the selespeed oil reservoir and hey presto it was empty!!
Trip to halfords and £6.98 later had myself some Dextron III oil to top up with.
Problem solved now running perfectly.
The oil reservoir as i found out is on the front right hand side just behind the headlights (for any1 like me that didnt know).
Many thanks to all who have posted information on this problem in this exellent forum and saved me an expensive trip to Alfa!!!
