Congrats!!!!!!!

Surprised this hasn't already been posted, but huge congrats to Giovanardi on his BTCC championship win today.

Bad luck Mr Plato, you're not my fave driver (not even close) but the championship battle was thilling, all year long.

Roll on next year for a bit more of the same.

Re: Congrats!!!!!!!

Great racing, Plato had bit of bump and grind with Matt Neal, Matt Neal clearly didn't want Jason to win champ as let Chiltern through at one point but then held back Plato That Giovardi chap is awesome and spent most his career driving and winning in Alfas!!!!! shame he won in a boxall but hey he's italian at least.

Personally speaking, the only highlight of Sunday's BTCC coverage was Mrs. Plato

But I also have to say Bad Show Matt Neal ... can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot... little Matty would have Daddy running around throwing tantrums and official complaints all over the place and giving it telling everyone how hard done by they are !!

Lets hope JP has the opportunity to f:swear:k both your championships up next year but especially yours Matt Neal you oversized Daddies Boy

The Neals... you are complete t:swear:ts IMO

Re: Congrats!!!!!!!

Congrats also to Giovanardi. Plato made it interesting, gutsy drive with those injuries. I feel that if he had got through on the last race he would have suffered a penalty by short cutting the chicane.

Matt Neal comes over as the bad guy in all of this ! Secures next years Vauxhall drive for him though.

Got to be honest though, the Seats lacked the pace of the Vauxhalls.

Be good to see more works teams in it. Be a great advert for the Alfa 159 if they were to enter rather than the limited budgets of the private drivers. Best looking award must go to the Alfa's.

Re: Congrats!!!!!!!

Congrats to Giovanardi, TBH as everyone on the telly was saying it would have suited me for either of them to win it, but I was cheering Plato on, would have loved to see him win it. It's been an awesome years racing, hope next year is as good. It'd be nice to see a few more works teams taking part though.

Matt Neal? C**t. He should be banned from the BTCC for that, the slimy dirty cheating get Hang on....... he'd be perfect for a Ferrari F1 drive with that attitude

Re: Congrats!!!!!!!

Whilst I'm not particularly a fan of Matt Neals I think the abuse here is a bit one sided. As far as I'm concerned Neal and Plato are as bad as each other. Platos driving towards the end of the third race was, again, disgraceful. It typifies his driving for me that when he can't get past cleanly then he barges his way through. I was really pleased that that Giovanardi won, as he is a true gentleman refusing to verbally abuse Plato (or baked potato as Clarkson called him on TG last night ) despite some serious provocation on occasions.
