[quote=VeloceMitch;1315699]I think young Mr Hamiltons allowed one mistake in his first season

As as for Artboys dubious referances to Hill being deliberately rammed by Schumacher and the Mansell's Wheel problem, I'm not sure what relevance they have to this.

What??!!!! Relevance is British bad luck, it's not dubious, Mansell had a wheel fall off at end of pit lane, remember, he would of won championship had this not happend that year. Also Schumy was is a genius, but he took out Hill that race. Read more F1 literature dude, he tried the same to Villenerve remember. Schumy is a legend forever as this is racing.

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

OK fair enough, though to be honest I dont put this particular problem down to bad luck, it was bad judgement and a simple driving error.

Schumacher/Hill wasn't bad luck either, it was just bad behaviour, as was his later attempt on Villenuave, which failed that time.

Oh and I dont think I need any lessons on F1 history thanks.

Mind you my memory is going a bit and I'm not convinced Mansell would have won the year his wheel fell off, he would certainly have won in Australia (86 was it?) , when his Tyre exploded.

Perhaps the most self opinionated post I've seen on here for while Mr Oz

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

Just remember that LH goes into the final race leading the World Championship by four points from his nearest rival.

Who has the advantage?

Your right , but then anyone who can 'drive' a vehicle rather than just operate one will have seen the error young Lewis made. And yes, I have had specialist advanced driver training (not IAM etc) so feel I can make such comments.

Still, makes Interlagos interesting now!!!! And I'd like to see Lewis win, think he's been good for F1 after Schumacher's retirement.

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

My bro, a convicted anti F1 person, made the interesting comment that he (my bro) would think it highly appropriate if, after all the 5h1t that happened Friday (and generally), LH went on to win the championship and then said "Bollows to the lot of you, I am too big a boy to play your stupid games, and I am p155ed off with all this and going back to kart racing where things are a LITTLE more sensible."

To be frank I agree!

Funny how you can make that judgement whilst knowing absolutely nothing about someone.

On what basis do you assume that I have 'feck all idea of car control'?

I take it you're not aware of my karting and single seat experience (limited to a few test sessions in FFirst and FFord but certainly far more than most drivers have had)

I'm not perfect, but as it happens I've never had an incident at work (touches wood)

Our Pommie runs trains, here in Melbourne, were regularly overshooting the railway stations...and no leaves needed

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

Just watched the race highlights. The tyres were down to the canvas. Lewis couldn't see them but could feel them. At least the team have taken the blame.

Not bad though, he waited until the 16th race to make a rookies error.

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

Tyres were shot - McLaren should have brought him in earlier but he overcooked it coming into the pitlane so it was his fault too. Better luck in Brazil LH, good race by Kimi.

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

Personally, when Hamilton was sliding all over the place and considering that he and the team would have known that even coming third would have been a good result, staying out was more than a Rookie error. Sure the team may have said wait, but wait for what, the tyre to totally shread itself, or a pucture to occur, oo for him to run of the track.....In reality, Hamilton should have said the car was essentially undrivable and an accident waiting to happen, I am coming in.

Re: How surreal, Hamilton in China.

LH's balls are too big, He should have bugged out of that fight some laps earlier. He's too much of a racer (Which in my book is a mark of real quality).

As much as I love Ferrari, I'm really torn over this years drivers championship. If Kimi gets it, he very much deserves it but I just don't like him. He has all the charisma of that 5h1t he was taking at last years Brazil race and if he loses, I can't say I'd care.

Go Lewis I reckon
