I don't know, according to Pitpass, Alonso is rather keen on getting a drive with Ferrari in 2009. That would explain why Flavio was so insistent on Alonso staying at least 2 seasons with Renault.
I could see Alonso pulling a Prost and sitting out 2008...

I cant see him wanting to sit out a season - with advances in tech and banning of systems such as traction control etc it would put him at a disadvantage in 2009

Yeah - but the ones he'd want to go to (i.e., Ferrari) aren't able too. Also, I don't think he would be comfortable with another top driver in the same team as him...

I doubt if Button will ever find himself a top drive. To be quite honest there are quicker, younger, hungrier guys out there, and sad as it is to say, I think Button has missed the boat as far as his F1 career is concerned, just like DC before him. |
