Re: F1 2008

Weather is supposed to be bad again this weekend, forcast for storms on Saturday in Hungary.

Weekend weather update - unsettled conditions forecast

Welcome to the 11th round of the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring near Budapest. You might not believe it after the similar warnings in Canada, France, Britain and Germany, but for the fifth race in succession the weather could be unsettled this weekend.

It will be partly cloudy on Thursday with an ambient temperature high of 32 degrees Celsius. Showers are expected in the region on Friday, when the temperature will drop to 31, and thunderstorms are forecast on Saturday and Sunday when it will be 32 degrees again.

Re: F1 2008

Heiki re-signed by McLaren for 2009. A good thing in my view from the Team perspective.

I predict for this weekend that Ferrari will be back on form. I bet they have been working like stink to put right what was wrong at the last two races. If Lewis wins three in a row it will be a massive psychological blow to Ferrari. They can't afford that.

Meanwhile...Michael Schumacher crashes his Fiat Van into some gates in Kent

Bad news BF :

"Lewis Hamilton's engine has been given the all clear by the FIA following its routine examination prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix."

"The FIA confirmed in Hungary on Thursday that all parts of the engine conformed with the regulations, and there was no disparity between the power unit submitted before the season and the one being used now."
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/69522

So why was Lewis so much faster then everyone else?
Ferrari blame the tyres for their rubbish performance but i don't buy it.
Is there something fundamentally wrong with their direction of development or are they running out of space for improvement of the F2008. But they will be running a shark-fin in Hungary(out of panic?...maybe
Some interesting days are ahead of us

Yeah, except that he overtook Schumacher in the Ferrari to take the lead, and was 30 seconds in front with 1 lap to go when he had hydraulics problems allowing JV in the Williams to pass him for the victory

I'm not sure, I think he's costing them the constructors cup. He really should have been able to finish 2nd or at worst 3rd in Germany...

Just read the story about this, comedy genius couldn't be written better. This one is an absolute belter of a story, nearly as funny as Lewis's Dad crashing at 30mph.

autosport.com - F1 News: Honda duo still 'understanding' new parts

Next year will be crucial for Honda. If they design yet another dog of a car no one will want to drive for them not even Ruebens . They haven't been able to make progress for ages(and i don't think they can with the current drivers). At least Toyota have found some solid pace and Jarno is driving better then ever.
