I believe we'll soon see Toro Rosso going under and perhaps another privateer. At some point, the big guys will either need to field 3 cars or a second team.
Current Formula 1 rules state a minimum 20 car starting grid.

With the caps on budgeting, most small teams still wont survive.

So The bigger teams will have to supply more than 2 cars anyway. Add support staff etc, then the question becomes (In Fiats Case)
Is the difference worth the advertising? (IE a lancia team), or do we just stuff 3-4 cars on the grid?

Re: F1 2008

If, for example, the top 3 teams entered a third car each, would anyone really be impressed?

The prospect of seeing an F1 grid with almost the entire top 10 comprised from just 3 teams is shocking.

It would also have the effect of essentially closing out the chance of points scoring positions for midfield teams, cutting out potential prize money, and further increasing the gap between the top teams and those lower down the grid.

Re: F1 2008

From the article "The 39-year-old Finn, and two women - one believed to be his new girlfriend - escaped the blaze in southern France, but a dog reportedly perished."

More likely both his new girlfriends.... Didn't waste any time did he.

Also with the dog being killed its might have been Bruno Senna not the ronster
