Maccas looking good, I hope there will be a bit of a fight and some wheel to wheel racing in this GP

Re: F1 2008

But is he going to have to do it all again if he's doing a 3 stopper?

Re: F1 2008

Well, looks like it'll be Massa, Hamilton, Kimi.

Still, think Hamilton's done a great race, always pushing, and what a pass on Massa!

Re: F1 2008

Lets not forget Kovalainen, ok he wasn't in the points but did well to come back from last after his puncture.

Re: F1 2008

I agree, Heikki had a great race but shame about the tire puncture (and Kimi's damaged nosecone ).

But what did Fisi do? Did something fail on his car or he just rammed the back of Nakajima for fun???

Re: F1 2008

Think he just went in with way too much speed and Nakajima was unfortunate to be in his way. Shame really, he's had a lot of bad luck, but Fisi has done that 3 times now at Turkey.

Re: F1 2008

Fisi said Nakajima pulled across his line and left no space for him to brake so just ran into the back of him. Said it wasnt his fault but was prob carrying a little to much speed into the corner
As far as Hamilton goes i'm not sure why he didnt switch back to a two stopper after he passed Massa. Could have filled it to the finish and just hoped to hang on to the end on the soft tyres.

Kubica must get so bored during a race. Always by himself in third or fourth never with anyone to race

Although concerning Hamiltons 3 stops just read this

Well BF now i can have a field day with fisi boy He had no idea how fast he was going, he misjudged his speed and distance and he completely locked up for a long time before climbing all over Nakajima....flying over Nakajima in fact
here it is

It was an edgy race right to the end. Very enjoyable as far as i'm concerned. Hamilton was on the edge for the entire race and he was close to Massa towards the end. He hit traffic and lost momentum in his second stint otherwise he would have been even closer to Massa.I doubt that he would have been able to pass him on the soft tyres. McLaren do have problems with the tyres and they have to work around that in races....it's one more think they have to think about. Ferrari have no such problems. It's their championship to lose.

Alonso couldn't wait to release Kimi He such a great guy FA As long as he can damage Lewis in some way he's happy.

Kimi was always resting his head during turn 8 and for every left hander as a matter of fact. He has more trouble in Turkey then he cares to admit. But he accepts that and he moves on to other races.

It's amazing what reliability can do for you. Weber has scored 10 points so far this season in four consecutive points finish. His last year's total was 10

Baricheslow 250+ races......anonymous in about 200 of them And he still doesn't get it.

Kova thank you mate for all the overtaking goodness. He struggled with his first one but then it was a great ride.

They are still trying to convince people that by freezing engines, geraboxes they are saving money

"That's inevitable," Brawn continued, conceding that - in a climate of needing to reduce
costs in F1 - the voluntary deployment of KERS is proving very expensive.

Re: F1 2008

Does anyone else think that in the post race conference Massa essentially admitted that they chose the wrong tires (the soft) to do two runs?

I was expecting Ferrari to be further ahead than McLaren in this race but the tire choice "mistake" may be an explanation as to why the Maccas were so competitive in the end.

Massa/Kimi weren't flash on the harder compound at the end when the track is mature. The F2008 loves the soft tyres

Re: F1 2008

He could have died in that accident.

Now that Bernie runs the show in Turkey, where is the giant fine from FIA for letting this happen?

I agree but instead of a fine the money should go in securing fences/doors and such.

Re: F1 2008

Well, that could be arranged but the FIA should not let this sort of thing happen unpunished.

Very unhappy about this (plus, really upset that the F1 tickets are so expensive).
