Re: F1 2008

It looks like both Alonso and Kimi are quite light. Webber always doing very well, as did Trulli

I'm not so sure about Kimi being light, I think he's just in proper 'iceman' mood when he obliterates everyone!! Plus Massa did make a few small errors and he was all over the show in the last sector so I wouldn't be surprised if he pits before Kimi.........

Yes, Piquet was originally quite close to him - so I think that's the true pace of Renault

Three factors:

1.Alonso is in the car
2.He is light
3.Relative improvement with upgrades(How long before people start moaning about the mass damper
- my personal opinion is that most of the performance is from the damper and not the touched up front aero

They've made progress without a doubt.Alonso lost pole in the last sector. The questions is: can they sustain it and also keep improving....

Kimi will be tough to beat this year. The F2008 is leisurely fast and he is completely comfortable/fresh compared to last year. All the pressure is on Hamilton this year. Last year it was on Alonso but this year Hamilton will be under the pump for the entire season.....and Massa of course.

It didn't take long for this argument to pop up:

Re: F1 2008

I wouldn't write off the Maccas as the actual difference in times was minimal and probably due to fuel loads.

It should be a cracking race!
