Re: F1 2008

And The Flav mentioned in an interview in Italy that Alonso will join Renault with 60% probability.

Re: F1 2008

humm, well Flav said he was only interested in Alonso so long as he will sign up for 2 years, so unless he has changed his mind... there are no more options unless he has a years break from the sport! Which can only mean 1 thing for 2009...

Re: F1 2008

The problem seems a simple one to me not like i no what i'm talking about but go back to full sliks and give the cars more mechanicle grip rather than aero this will give the drivers chance to stay behind a car and not worry about (dirty air)this i think would bring back a bit of spice

Regardless of what the flav says(like the 60% nonsense) he wants Alonso in there and if he wants to get a 2year contract he has to provide a 'performance -get-out-clause' - the problem is what is acceptable performance for Alonso but also Flavio/renault for next year and beyond

Re: F1 2008

Hi guys. Just a note to say those of you expecting the ban on TC to sort the wheat from the chaff will be disappointed, so don't get your hopes up. The drivers in F1 are mostly the best in the world, and even the poor ones are still very, very good. And they all drove cars without TC through out their careers before F1, so they'll adapt quickly. Also, the engineers will re-tune the suspension, diff, and power delivery maps to make the car much more tractable and drivable without TC.

Renaults drivers are still not confirmed, but it's fairly sure to be either Alonso and Piquet or Heikki and Piquet. Alonso had a meeting and top secret seat fit at Red Bull last week, so it's really still up in the air.

As for the fuel issue, well it's really no suprise that it was turffed out is it. Although it is a suprise that the judges threw it out on because it was an incorrect appeal, not on technical grounds.
It was brought to light by the FIA's steward in the first place, taken to court at great cost, and still the fuel issue is unresolved. Well done to the most mis-managed profession sport in the world!

Six devils screaming...................
