Groovy Earthcar Honda thing

Dunno what that's all about?

I'm not sure if it's rather cynical "ooh look at us, aren't we environmentally friendly (while we rack up another 500,000 miles of jet travel to do a two day test in the desert") or if it's really genuine attempt to do... er something else.

What they trying to say?

Re: Groovy Earthcar Honda thing

As you say Ralf... it all bull$hit given the amount of fossil fuels they'll be burning this year !!

We read about it in last Saturday's Telegraph and both drew the same conclusion.... i.e. What the ****'s that all about then !!

Agreed - it is all rubbish - just because they couldn't manage to get a main sponsor this year - seemingly a deal with Sanyo fell through at the last minute.

If their F1 cars ran on hot air, Honda would have the constructors' championship in the bag already.

Well, although Honda may have not planned on this livery, they have decided to use it and will surely be among the first to develop green technology in F1.

A bit of a stunt sure, but we are talking about F1 at the end of the day

A stunt it certainly is Another nice example of environmental (read: mental) breakdown...
Let's see what Honda's results will be this year

Re: Groovy Earthcar Honda thing

It does look nice in the Studio though... They reckon Honda tried it out on a F3 car first, to see how it looked on t.v.

The black back-end ("space") was chosen that way as the transfer with Earth on it melted when it was stuck to the engine cover.

Honda reckons they'll get sponsors who don't care that their name isn't on the car... thatr they'll be happy just to be associated with it (in the same way MacDonalds sponsored the Footie World Cup.
