Re: F1 2007 Season
Very mature reaction from Hamilton though, no throwing a wobbler or knocking doors off their hinges.
I still reckon he'll win it all at Brazil

McLaren, what were you doing. Lewis had a 17 second lead over Alonso - even if he had come in for more inters, and then needed to come in later for drys, at least he would have got 3 or 4 points, puttign Kimi out of the Championship and making it easier in Brazil
Having slated Ferrari in Japan for their awful tactics, McLaren have shown they are no better.
Significant that Lewis didn't publically criticise the team though - Alosno could learn a lesson there.
Great drive by Button too

Re: F1 2007 Season
Show down at the Brazilian Coral.............
Or Maybe
the stand off at Sad Hill Cemetery.
With The Good (Hamilton), The Bad (Kimi) The Ugly (Alonso).
At the end Alonso can also shout "Hammie you Bas..................."

Re: F1 2007 Season
Incredibly, unbelievably dumb!
This is the first time in probably ten years I've set the alarm to watch an early GP too.
How could McLaren's race engineers be so indecisive? You could see for half a dozen laps before he pitted that LH's tyres were shot, he was dropping seconds a lap even to back-markers and there had been a clear dry line for easily 10 laps.
They should have been tactical and ensured the points. Even if the heavens had opened later, all the main runners would have had to pit again.
MrsJim came down just before and cynically questioned why it would happen unless "they" wanted that last race showdown for ratings. I don't hold with that personally, but it did make me wonder what nefarious political shenanigans go on.

Well, imagine what the conspiracy theorists would have said if it had been Alonso who had been in the lead...

I've thought stuff like that before in F1, like when Ferrari were forgiven for their illegal bargeboards so that the title would go down to the wire in 99, and prior to that there had been a few successive years where it had gone to the final race in every season.
I also had severe doubts about the 1997 qualifying at Jerez, with Schumacher, Villeneuve and Frentzen all setting the exact same qualifying time, equal to 1/1000 of a second. IMO two drivers setting exact equal times is unlikely, 3 drivers doing it is impossible.

Re: F1 2007 Season
Superb race in China.....we now have 3 drivers who can win in 2007...
Of course the FIA did not have the last say re the Webber-Vettel incident.
The 'Racing Gods' took the the matter in their own hands and gave a 10 point penalty

A few peeps in work have been thinking as above. I'd like to think not but who knows after all that has happened politically over this year.
I have been for the most part a neutral in F1 over the last few years. Have been disappointed by what is coming out regarding Alonso and his desire to win and behaviour pretty much since Hungary. He is a double world champ, current champ and if all the tales are true not covering himself in glory. How much is true we can only speculate.
You cannot imagine Hamilton or Raikkonen behaving that way. Time will tell who prevails and best of luck to all 3 of them. Hope we have a cracker in 2 weeks to finish off a good season in style.

Re: F1 2007 Season
To be honest I don't know if my heart can take the stress of watching the Brazilian GP - I've got a horrible feeling that either cry baby Alonso, or boring Kimi will take the championship

Re: F1 2007 Season
I don't understand all this boring Kimi, Mika and other Finnish driver stuff. All I can see is a man who drives very fast and leaves all the F1 bull**** behind him at the end of a race to become a very private person with his own coterie of friends. He does his job and has stood clear of all the politics and stuff flying around this season. In fact I'd say he has acted with dignity throughout..as has Massa. Certainly, were he (Raikonnen) to win the championship in two weeks time you'd have to say well done..it would be achieved with 6 wins to 4 by Alonso, Hamilton and 3 by Massa.
