Can't believe i've only spotted this thread now. I go down to Donny every year with a few mates. anyone else planning on making the trip this year? could maybe meet for an A.O.B.B.Q!!
also to get tickets for donny this year which is on from 30th June til 2nd July, £78.00 gets you a whole weekend pass including camping from thurs night til monday morning if so desired. still on sale, follow this link;
i would love to go to any motogp race, i have tried to get tickets once but i couldnt, does any one know how to get them so i can see rossi before he quits
the best coverage if you ask me especially with randy mamola who tells you all the ins and outs
I completely agree, the Eurosport boys are great, really make you feel part of the action.
It's also good to see there are three bike makers that can win races this year. It will go down to the wire this season!
I'm also a big fan of bikes and the motogp at Mugello was first class with all the front runners beating each other up. Haven't seen these boys fight it out like that for a while. The Doctor has for sure had his run of bad luck but has fought back after switching back to the 05 frame, makes for a more interesting battle for the rest of the season.
Roosi is defo a class act and has signed for another year with Yamaha when it goes to 800cc, which should make for a great years racing with everyone on the starting blocks.
Unfortunately I don't ride anymore partly down to the poor condition of our roads now, but managed to do a couple of track days at Brands on my R6, if you've got a bike go for it, it's sex on 2 wheels, no white lines, no potholes, no manhole covers, no volvo drivers and your all going the same way.
for all you rossi fans out there, old pic but anyway, from catalunya '04 where rossi has the lead with gibernau right up after him. me and a friend went on our bikes down there from sweden. quite a journey i would say... 5000 km in six days..
I have taken my son to see the GP for the last 2 years & will be going to the British GP on 2nd July.
I am going up to Donny in the Alfa, the wife has band me from bikes,i hit a car at 50mph when i was 17
Any of you lot going?
Stu
hi
i wanted to go but damn blast gotta go to a christening on the sunday
gutted and i mean gutted
have you heard rossi has had a crash at practise in assen
hairline fracture of his hand and foot plus rib injury and a bloodclot in his elbow
he will still ride tomorrow - thats balls for you
you wouldnt catch an f1 driver doing that they would have the rest of the season off!!
Yip, he was lucky he didn't do more damage, you think it looks fast on TV,see it live & you know these guys are mad.
And they sound amazing too.
Stu
PS. Bad luck on the christening dude
i know i was gutted for edwards he did so well to catch back up and then he pulled the perfect block move and was unlucky to catch a piece of slippy grass rather than gravel otherwise he would have won
yep i am a bike fan did u see the race at donnington WHAT A RACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOO ROSSI any one got bikes on here? i got a gsxr 600 srad corona
Gotta agree with all of what's been said. Just take this weekend - F1 was the usual procession and now that "Monster" Montoya has gone they're lacking one of the characters of the grid. He always spoke his mind! This weekend's MotoGP was yet again a masterpiece of racecraft by Vale, the guy is just an utter legend. Thank god he didn't take the F1 drive at Ferrari, it would have been the killing of him. And top marks to Marco Melandri and Loris Capirossi - to have raced as they have over the last few weeks after their spills takes great gobs of courage and balls as big as coconuts!
Surprise of the weekend for me was how competitive the BSB
