Re: Moto GP
Another Bike fan here, I am perhaps a little older and remember frequent trips to Mallory Park (about 6 miles from home) to see Barry Sheene, Kenny Robberts (Snr), Randy Mamola, Freddie Spencer, Mick Grant etc, still enjoy a good race now (not so keen on the TT races though)

Re: Moto GP
He's done it again..............V. Rossi
An underwater race at Donington and after three incredible "saves" he shows those (that stay) on how to win
18.7 million pounds per annum - I guess he's worth it
Gibernau comes off when he's on his own in the lead
Fabulous race - yet again

Re: Moto GP
I think you'll find there were more than 3 saves, but many of his rivals couldn't achieve one save.
Excellent race, who watches F1????

i don't think its quite as "simple as that"
what about clutch control ? braking control ? balance ? foresight ? BALLS ! ? , Rossi has the complete package, the others have the package but with maybe just a little part missing

Too much throtle and then a sudden closing of the throtle comming off a corner and your into a highsider,as in Gibernau on Sunday.Rossi knows how to apply it and let it off at the precise right time.I know what a highsider feels like.I have had 2 of them so far on my bikes. Its not a nice feeling either.
I aggree with you on Rossi. He is the best all round rider/racer.He has all the above skills you mention and then some more in reserve,if he needs it.Hes the only man that can break a lap record on the last lap on an under performing bike and wrecked tryes.

Re: Moto GP
I must be the only one on this site that actually went and stood in the rain all day watching the racing. Was cold muddy and wet,but worth it.Spent 4 hours getting home.Drove home in my jocks and t-shirt as wet clothes do not touch the Alfas seat.Barefoot to-too much mud on shoes.
Watched all the races again on telly-had the missus record them.
Got some good photo's aswell.

I will go to a Moto GP race when they come to Ireland.I was gonna go to Donnington this year but Im going up to Northern Ireland next month for the Ulster Grand Prix road racing festival instead.
Rossi will be there as a spectator too( rumored to be anyway,as he loves the road racing).MotoGp in Ireland? Thats never gonna happen in Ireland.

Re: Moto GP
All the bike racing is edge of the seat stuff reallys gets the heart rate up.
The only problem is which one to watch I do think the Eurosport commentators are the most entertaining. The worst is bloody Barrie bloke on ITV but Witham makes up for his drival.
I only watch FI at the start now unless its a wet race.
