Re: F1 season 2005

Tomorrow we will have a very weird order on the starting grid. The qualification started wet and ended soaked. The slow runners had a big advantage and all the quick drivers -who had to qualify when the track was soaked- start at the end of the grid tomorrow.

First 13 positions on the starting grid
1 Ralf Schumacher (Toyota)
2 Jenson Button (BAR-Honda)
3 Giancarlo Fisichella (Renault)
4 Christian Klien (Red Bull Racing)
5 Takuma Sato (BAR-Honda)
6 David Coulthard (Red Bull Racing)
7 Mark Webber (Williams-BMW)
8 Jacques Villeneuve (Sauber-Petronas)
9 Rubens Barrichello (Ferrari)
10 Felipe Massa (Sauber-Petronas)
11 Narain Karthikeyan (Jordan-Toyota)
12 Antonio Pizzonia (Williams-BMW)
13 Christijan Albers (Minardi-Cosworth)

Re: F1 season 2005

P45 and exit door for Giancarlo me thinks. Remember Trulli last year? Flavio will not be a happy man...

...I'm afraid Fisichella has been shown up as distinctly second rate this year. Give Piquet Jnr that car next year and lets see a proper team mate for Fernando.

Re: F1 season 2005

I've gotta agree, Fisico displayed a complete lack of racecraft. He was fine when he was out front all alone, but taking a stupid defensive line when the car behind is in no position to attack is just dumb.

Replace him with Anthony Davidson or Heikki Kovalainen.

Piquet jnr is a little green for a topline F1 drive next year - but he has developed really well this year in GP2 & A1GP, and should be good for 2007.

Fisi's head has gone now, P45 for sure.

Re: F1 season 2005

Michael reverted to his Gandalf strategy before the race even started. "Thou shalt not pass".

Maybe it is time for him to retire - he admitted in interview that he hadn't seen the Minardi of Albers............

Re: F1 season 2005

I see that the Chinese were out with the 'killer drain covers' again
Not only did Montoya just escape serious injury, but earlier this year when the Aussie V8 'supercar' series was run at the same Chinese track, a drain cover sliced its way through a car and ended between a drivers legs....

Talk about total incompetence

unbelieveable! You would think they would seriously secure it down, I would get out the trusty welder if I were in charge! I think James Allen said thats what they do in Monoco!

Re: F1 season 2005

My man will be back in 2006 and gunning for his last world title before he manages Ferrari in 2007. The car should be a star too as they've spent the last half of this year working on the '06 car rather than feeding the Bridgestone hooved donkey!

I wouldn't bet on Ferrari for the manufactures title as I don't honestly think Massa is up to the job

Roll on 06. Glad MS is staying with the Reds. I meant what I said earlier. If he deserted for Macs I would have had his name removed from my arm

Cheers,

Simon
