Empty tank me thinks or soft tyres that will wear out too soon.

Victory for either McLaren.

Remember that the guys from B have made a special tire last year. Could this be the case?

Re: F1 season 2005

Finally Kimi ended one race. Well done. Actually... Finally Mercedes gave him that chance.

What happen to Shumi? Was the engine/exhaust loosing power? It sounded a bit strange...

Re: F1 season 2005

Just look at the three of them at the press interview - Kimi looks like he has just finished a 26KM running marathon and Ralph Shumacher looks like he just done three rounds with Mike Tyson while Micheal Schumacher looks like he has just returned from a pleasing Sunday drive!!

It just shows how fit he is even though he is now the oldest driver in F1 - how does he do it.

I predict Kimi will be world Champion

Re: F1 season 2005

That was a McLaren ******ing match.

Maybe there will be a title race afterall? Those dropped races will haunt Kimi. I think Fernando has it just about in the bag despite a woeful weekend.

Any money on either Toyota or BAR nicking a victory this year?

Only if both Renaults, McLarens and at least one Ferrari fall off the track, then maybe

IMHO, both Trulli and Ralf are in it for the $ - they don't look that spectular during the races, I'm sure a hungrier driver could wring a bit more out of the Toyota.

Beats me how Britain can be threatened to be taken off the calendar when you always get such a dull race at Hungary every year. Zzzzzz!

I best get off my soap box now!

MS takes his job very very seriously and by working out (a lot) he is still the fittest F1 driver of the field.

That wouldn't happen. He is only capable of winning or quiting and even when he wins every remaining race of the season it is not in his hands to become a World champion.

Exactly. Someway he reminds me Lance Armstrong.

He only races to win and he takes it seriously.

Re: F1 season 2005

I think it's time for a few of the "older" drivers to move aside and let the new talent through. Sadly I cannot see anyone fit to take MS's place at Ferrari. His skill has flattered some of their cars to win some of those races and championships. Sign of a true great.

Who should retire?

I feel a poll coming on...

...linky-winky! (Which F1 drivers should retire?)

Re: F1 season 2005

Schumi is having too much fun ATM to retire. He hasn't renewed his contract yet for 2007 so maybe 2006 will be his last year. Everyone is going to V8 then except for cash strapped Mnardi.

The press conference was a bit of a laugh - even though ITV showed Kimi's interview only He had funny panda eyes! MS is very fit and was not even sweating - but it just reinforces my idea that he was replaced with a super-enhanced clone version of himself back in 1999 when he broke his leg in Silverstone.

Re: F1 season 2005

It's already official that Barrichello is out of Ferrari for the next season. Massa will take his place.
