BAR Honda is definitely the second team this season: great races again from Button and Sato, too bad about the engine blow up from Sato.

McLaren Mercedes should consider swapping engines. German reliability is not what it supposed to be these days. I pitty those even more who buy a Merc these days. I feel sorry for Kimi and David though, this must be very frustrating.
Hans,

Nothing to add Ferrari deserved this win as they drove the best. BAR is definitely becoming the team of 2004. It's just unbelievable to see from where they've come! Looks like ditching Villeneuve was the best move they have done

Just think that if FIAT used some of the quality techniques that the Racing side of Ferrari uses then it would make unbeatable quality cars

By ditching Villeneuve they suddenly had enough budget to make bloody fast cars

Re: Formula 1

The BAR is by far the best car out on the track at the moment. Very well balanced and it doesn't look like a ***** to drive.

I take it that's 'apart from ferrari' Neil?
What do you all think the deal is with Sato? It seems to me there's got to be something wrong with his driving style, that's 5 engine failures he's had compared to 0 for Button.

No that's not apart from the ferrari, the BAR looks a far better car driveabitily wise. Maybe it's still down on power and they are stuggling.

I think driving style seems to go hand in hand with engine failure. Seems to be the case for road cars too

I think Noryuki Haga's recent engine failure history adds some weight to this argument.

I don't quite agree with the driveability thing so I have to point out a thing or two. Doing a couple of fast qualifying rounds and not being able to keep up with Ferrari's pace throughout a whole race (except for the conditions where the Bridgestones lag seriously) doesn't strike me as a "far better car". Maybe more competitive than the rest would be a better way to put it. Imho the Ferrari are in a class of their own.

Re: Formula 1

It looks like Montreal should be a good race -- or at the very least, it should offer an interesting start.

Final Pole Positions:
Pos.__Driver____________Team________Time
1____ R. Schumacher____Williams______1:12.275
2____ J. Button_________BAR_________1:12.341
3_____J. Trulli__________Renault______1:13.023
4_____JP. Montoya______Williams______1:13.072
5_____F. Alonso________Renault______1:13.308
6_____M. Schumacher___Ferrari_______1:13.355
7_____R. Barrichello_____Ferrari_______1:13.562
8_____K. Räikkönen_____McLaren______1:13.595
9_____D. Coulthard_____McLaren______1:13.681
10____C. Klien_________Jaguar________1:14.532
11____G. Fisichella______Sauber_______1:14.674
12____C. Da Matta______Toyota_______1:14.851
13____O. Panis_________Toyota_______1:14.891
14____M. Webber_______Jaguar_______ 1:15.148
15____N. Heidfeld_______Jordan_______1:15.321
16____T. Glock_________Jordan_______1:15.323
17____T. Sato__________BAR_________1:17.004
18____Z. Baumgartner___Minardi_______1:17.964
19____G. Bruni__________Minardi_______0.000
20____F. Massa_________Sauber_______0.000

BTW has anybody figured out how to get spacing to work under the new design?I know tabs don't work, and it doesn't seem to like extra spacing either since it ate all my column spacing. Underscores seemed like the next best option, but I don't really like them.

Re: Formula 1

What can I say....

Ferrari made the right tactical choices, but then again they can afford it because the package they have.

'Funny' that Shumi has already more wins in the first 8 races then in the complete season last year.
