pat symonds has gone as well, and they are not going to dispute the deliberate crash accusations either.

Aye! Mosley's doing a "Godfather".. terminating all the heads of the five families after lulling them all into a false sense of security with all his "retirement" talk..

First Big Ron, now Briatore. Just Howett, Williams and De Montezemolo to go...

I kinda agree, BUT somewhat entertaining one...

It's sad that real personalities are disappearing in the F1

So instead of fighting their corner after the tapes have been released, they slink away from the sport?

Sounds like the actions of innocent parties, of course

Still, Flav can now go and give us his 'guaranteed' break away series for 2010 after all

He'll not be missed.

It's clear that F1 teams gather 'intelligence' on other teams that for sportsmanship's sake, they should not... But it's still a major cheating step away from directing a driver to crash, or if the idea came from said driver, accepting such plan.

And, what logically comes next to that type of thing is, bribing race officials, or even directing your #2 driver to crash into competition for #1 driver, right?

Good riddance, Flav! With that type of spirit, maybe he has a career a president of a big Italian soccer team...

A half-dead Alfa 156 :-(

Looks like Renualt trying to save themselves from a big fine they can't afford. They need to jack in F1 and come back to Le Mans anyway. In france now they are behind Peugeot and in times like these concentrating on your home market makes sense.

Flav is a buisness man who in the past has made it clear he's in F1 only for the money. Good bye to rubbish.

Renault should pull out anyway now - they could be losing their customer engine supply to Red Bull next year anyway, & I'm sure they're worried about F1 losing its reputation

Sorry but is it only me that thinks after what happened to Massa, ( a genuine accident), crashing an F1 car deliberately is insane !

French TV are reeling off a series of interviews of Mr B saying just that; "I'm in this business for the money" he doesn't even talk about a sport !!! along with with well known journalists who say that he knows nothing about motorsport. A bit like Nelson Picquet said

Good riddance to the man. Pity he's got enough dough to float him through the rest of his life without it affecting him. As he is a "businessman" it'll all go down very well with the kind of people and circles he goes around in. It was done for a purpose - to make more money -
and that is acceptable to most of the 'big' corporations and businessmen of his kind.
Renault are playing politics to try and save face by not backing him up.

If it does turn out to be true, then I hope he gets jailed for it.

He is a character, and I admit that in the past I'd warmed t ohim, but his actions this year have changed my opinion of him. He's become a bit of a powerlord. Had his 'guaranteed' breakaway occured he'd probably have become unbearable.

I'm all for ageing silver haired playboys swanning around with supermodels in yaughts, but when they start getting power mad they have a tendency to become unbearable

Aye!

Here's a photo of Mrs Briatore, because it's essential to the debate about Flav' the Chav, obviously.
