Help - Lewis Hamilton question
Hi everyone.
Does anyone know what garage Lewis Hamilton race from last year
IIRC, he started from the last garage due to the Mclaren / Ferrari cheat scandal but then Force India came into play so it could have been the last but one garage.
Also, didn’t he get moved up during the season
Just asking as my father in law needs to know for a quiz he’s doing
Cheers,

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
McLaren certainly started the season right down at the shallow end, but I think that Bernie moved them up to about halfway after the first few races, it looked better on TV for one thing. Max wanted to humiliate them in any way he could, spank their bottoms in fact, but Bernie overruled him, I think they were in about 5th place in the pit lane for most of the season. Anyone read what Sir Jackie Stewart said about Max and Bernie in The Times a few days ago? I think that both of these two are on borrowed time if what remains of the sport has any chance of surviving. Sir Jackie wouldn't want the job, but someone like him would be a good choice, both Max and Bernie seem to be living in a fantasy world most of the time.
It's not something I shout about, but I used to work with these people.

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
Our cheeks, sorry paths, parted long before that. Many years ago, when he was starting as a young barrister, Max was my law lecturer at university, we all used to go to the pub afterwards, he was a good bloke in those days...

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
I thought it was a case of 1st choiceect.... ie there aren't set garage numbers as the start of the pit lane is an advantage at some tracks and the end at others.
Ps. this doesn't help at all.

No, the champion team is the first one as they enter the pit lane, always been that way, at least in recent times. McLaren did discover that their spot right at the cheap end was indeed an advantage at some tracks, probably why Max didn't make much of a fuss when Bernie swapped the order. I do hope Ron gets his knighthood eventually, it's the next step after the CBE he has now. The look on Max's face will be a real picture, he'll probably die of a heart attack.

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
Would 'the Mclaren garage' be the answer?

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
Ron Dennis to take over from Max Mosely would be a great move for Formula One in many ways I think if certain people could relax their attitudes toward McLaren and bias toward certain other scarlett teams.

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
Cheers chaps. The actual question relates to the Brazilian GP. I think the team had 3 garages there so any idea which one of the 3 Cheers, Simon.

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
If you watch the official F1 video from the race, doesn't Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls emerge from garage 13:
The Official Formula 1 Website
Would 13 tie in with places McLaren at the end of the pitlane to satisfy Mosley?

"Satisfy Mosley?" I'm not sure that anything short of a damn good.......
But let's not go there, there might be people of a sensitive disposition reading this.

Re: Help - Lewis Hamilton question
McLaren moving up the grid to more spacious garages was covered in the press last year, and who may have complained about this was also covered in the press. I'm sure such articles are still there on the Internet for those that can be bothered looking for it
