Re: MotoGP 2008

Was a very good race, Stoner had a strong race, though Vermeulan was on fire Sadly for de Angeles he just couldn't find that last bit of ooomph for the final lap.

Re: MotoGP 2008

What a great race! I am not a Stoner fan but I wish he had stayed on just to watch him and Rossi head to head until the end of the race.
The first 4 laps were epic, then they both almost watched each other and then it unleashed again.
Overtaking going round the outside, huge out braking moves.
Lorenzo went skywards again, good result for Elias, Vermuelen and Dovisiozo.
What a good race

Re: MotoGP 2008

Only really two mistakes made by Rossi and Stoner....The first one by Rossi in the cork screw which almost took himself and Stoner out and the second by Stoner who went a little wide and turned when he thought he had reached a hard surface when in fact it was deeper "sand" ....up to then absolutely brilliant racing....
Some hate Stoner and some like the the 'little child' Rossi...love them or hate them they put on a good show

Re: MotoGP 2008

Excellent race, missed the first lap but the battle for the lead was fantastic.
Well done Rossi.

Re: MotoGP 2008

Fantastic race... Rossi and Stoner providing a great spectacle as they fought for the lead (kind of put Hamilton's 2 overtaking moves into perspective).

Shame Stoner crashed as I could have watched those 2 for a few more laps

Not sure where Stoner was coming from after the race.. Sounded a bit like sour grapes to me.

Re: MotoGP 2008

It was supposedly reported that Rossi esentially claimed that Ducati and Stoner might be cheating.....Not seen the report it was just commented on during the Local Telecast a few weeks ago by Kevin Magee

Re: MotoGP 2008

Stoner would probably be leading the championship if Rossi hadn't pushed for the Bridgestones.

Michelin were looking good at the start of the year but they've had a few really bad weekends now

Good call Valentino & great for the championship
