Ferrrari auction in......Middlesbrough!

autosport.com - the Daily Grapevine: F1: Ferrari's Smedley plans charity raffle

Strange choice of venue, its about 5 miles from my house, but I will be in Italy at the time!

Don't forget how many so called 'footballers' live in the area...thats who he hopes will come along and bid 20 grand for a pair of Kimis underpants.

I wish him well. A good cause naturally..

Top mechanics have been known to come frome Middlesboro. Go to any council estate they can get your wheels off in seconds...

I'd rather be in Italy than bl00dy Marton

BTW A L has a point when you consider places like Grangetown or 'over the border'

Re: Ferrrari auction in......Middlesbrough!

I turned up at a hotel in Stokesley in Sept 91 to do an investment presentation to some brokers..in a white Rover 200.

"Where's your Alfa?"..asked my boss " Being serviced " I said in half truth...In fact I had stuffed it up the back of a Cavalier a couple of days before.

It didn't go well, and I had driven all the way from Keswick, interrupting a holiday to do this particular fund launch.
