Wrc 2008
Gigi Galli's back, driving for Stobart
Subaru seem to have dropped Pons
Toni Gardemeister & P-G Andersson driving for Suzuki
Markko Martin signed as test driver for Subaru
(I wonder if he will get the chance to compete on a few rounds)
...Oh and Subaru have learned a lot from last year and will be challenging for wins this year.
(they are expected to announce the launch date of the new car some time in Jan)
2 weeks to Monte,
Can't wait,

Re: Wrc 2008
Sensible head
I've got a feeling Seb might just edge it this year
The battle for second should be good though
F**d supporters head
Mikko all the way
with GG & JML just behind him

Re: Wrc 2008
Watched it
That looked like an interesting collection Malcolm has in his shed, they should have shown more of that rather than Matthew and 'whoever he was' farting about with quads and RC lorries.

Re: Wrc 2008
Looking forward to this season, my mate is sitting with Matt this season.
Subaru should be right back in the fight with new car. The old one was just not working, technically it was a five year old car still trying to compete in the top level. Pons was never in the main line-up for Subaru last year.
However rallying is needing more manufacturers, sick of seeing so many Ford WRC cars all the time. It's even getting to the point were there is a few in every clubman rally. Although it's still dominated by Subarus and Mitzs.
The anti inflation moose being banned is also going to make it a bit more interesting. Although the crew having to change them mid stage might have a big impact on there safety. Time will tell.

Re: Wrc 2008
I saw the thing on Dave the other night, some very interesting changes this year... especially the SX4, does anyone else think that looks bloody fantastic?
I reckon Seb will clinch it again, without having to try too hard... hope I'm proved wrong though. I'm putting a quid on Jari-Matti being the best of the rest this year.

Re: Wrc 2008
Nope, although I'd hoped for a bit more variety, that's pretty much as I expected it to turn out....

Re: Wrc 2008
Think the biggest headturner of the rally was Atkinson finishing third in what is an outdated car. Can't wait to see what he does in the new S14 subaru. May be ugly as hell, but hopefully competitive.

I don't think it's any uglier than the Focus.

(acceptable when you lose the WC within sight of the finish line, on the last rally of the year, but not halfway through the first rally of year, Get over yourself)
How come Sordo has mechanical problems sometimes, but Seb never does?
...and apart from the Atkinson/Duval battle Mr T mentioned, not a lot else, although Conrad Rautenbach's crash on the Monaco special was quite funny,
so it ended up
1 SL
2 MH
3 CA
4 FD
5 PS
6 GG
7 some local bloke in a 307
8 PGA

AYE RIGHT,
(better run away and hide, if I ever catch him he's in trouble )
*whispers* Although I'd still rather have the White, RS liveried, 03 Focus.
 Welcome back Mr Vamos,

Re: Wrc 2008
It's good to be back (ducks)
What about that eigth place for Suzuki in their first ever WRC? Bet Skoda would have liked that (in almost any of theirs).
Seb's got it all sawn up already, hasn't he? Any mountainbiking trips planned?
