Nürburgring Drivers course

Ron Simmons (75 Experience) Is putting together a new Drivers Course with a twist..

Rain practice!

I don't have the full details yet, but it will take place at the Ring, of course in the electronic-aid-free 75's

Am I allowed to join in the 156 without ESP but with ABS?

Ofcourse with proper rain tyres intead of the Hankook Ventus RS2 Z212 tyres that proved to be worthless in the wet at the Ring & Spa. My choice in the wet, Goodyear Eagles !!!

But Ron in a 75 @ the ring (without leading a group of students) is something to behold.

Should be fun. Keep us posted Peter.

I would love to take my 159 round the ring

How much does it cost to have a lesson with that babe that was on Top Gear

You can Book Sabine via RMA Trackdays. She is an instructor on most of their Ring days. Book well in advance though, as she is in great demand. Next Ring RMA trackday is this tuesday/wedneday.

Hmm..i like my Toyo Proxes T1-R in the wet (street) very much, so I am thinking a good all round tire for the ring might be those Eagles.. the V-pattern seems to suit the GTA's very well.. I once wasted a pair of Eagles in less then one hour (two stints) It was on a small track though.. I can see that they would probably be very good on the ring..

On the rain course subject i see it this way: Learning to drive RWD in the rain is probably wise in a car not my own.. If Ron is willing to put his cars up for such a course i am pretty sure I will do it..

He mentioned early december, but still waiting for more info.

Don`t forget you sign a disclaimer which means you pay for any damage to the car and to the circuit. And should you write it off, apart from the payment to the circuit for damage, you pay Ron 3000 euros for the car.
